About the Phase field method in comsol

Why does the comsol use the Cahn-Hilliard Equation, not the Allen-Cahn Equation as the governing equation?
the phase-field variable "phi" is non-conserved variable, so Allen-Cahn Equation should be used I think.

are you referring to this :

then I would say that is a question to ask "support", but perhaps somewhone else out here has an idea ;)
