COMSOL Accessibility Statement

COMSOL strives to be the premier developer and provider of scientific simulation software for engineers and scientists in leading technical enterprises, research labs, and universities. We encourage our staff to continually improve our products and services by maintaining a corporate culture that is inventive. Based on the latest and preeminent technology and research, we use best practices in software development to provide robust, easy-to-use, and intuitive simulation technology.

COMSOL is committed to providing software that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We are actively working to increase the usability of our software and, in doing so, adhere to many of the available standards and guidelines for user interface design and accessibility. This accessibility is more specifically addressed in our Accessibility Conformance Report (using the Voluntary Product Accessibility Template®, or VPAT®).

While COMSOL strives to adhere to accepted guidelines and standards for accessibility and usability, it is not always possible to do so given the inherently visual and interactive nature of 3D computer-aided engineering software, including COMSOL Multiphysics. We are continually seeking out solutions that will make additional aspects of the user interface accessible. In the meantime, should you experience any difficulty in using COMSOL Multiphysics, please email us atLicense@comsol.com.

Accessibility Conformance Report (VPAT)

To report on the accessibility of the features of our products and to help government and academic customers determine their own compliance, COMSOL provides an Accessibility Conformance Report using the VPAT.

Under Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, it is necessary for federal agencies to make their electronic and information technology accessible to people with disabilities. Our current VPAT combines multiple major global accessibility standards:

  • U.S. federal (via Section 508)

  • EU (via EN 301 549)

  • WCAG
