Scattering and absorption cross section in 2D

Hi everyone,

I am trying to calcualte the scattering and absorption cross section of a gold nanoparticle in comsol 5.3a in 2D. My current result is that the aborption and scattering cross section are equal but with opposite sign. Does anyone have a clue for the problem?
