For simulating kinetic inductacne for MKIDs (microwave kinetic inductance detectors) most of the community use SONNET rather than COMSOL. However, I too am interested in how to use COMSOL for this application. Steven, if you (or anyone else) managed to figure out a COMSOL solution for this, I would be very interested.

Hi Colm,
I am not familiar with SONNET or MKIDs, but if you could describe your simulation task in more detail, I am sure we could find a solution. I recommend to contact support@comsol.com with some more information, like what are the governing equations of your system? What are the input parameters of your simulation and what quantities do you want to get out of it?
